History of discovery of the cell

What is a cell?. Who first bring it?. From high school biology book I read, every organism resusun the cell. Unit cell is the structural and functional unit of the smallest organism's body. That is, the cell is a constituent body of the organism and the last cell Dilam life functions that occur in the body of an organism. To carry out the functions of life, the cell has been equipped with various organelles.

The term cell was first suggested by Robert Hooke was a physicist and mathematician. By using a simple microscope findings, Hooke succeeded in observing incision cork. In his observations, the cork incision look like small rooms separated by thick walls that resembles a beehive and the small rooms called cells.

Besides Roobert Hooke, Antonie Van Leeuwenhoek also in the early 17th century, had seen strange objects contained in a drop of water soaking hay by using a simple microscope design. In 1809, Jean Baptiste de Lamarck states that every life is a collection of cells. Then two scientists berkembangsaan Germany, Mathias Schleiden a botanist and a zoologist Theodore Schwann, states that all life, whether animal mauun tumbuhann made up of cells.

Thanks to the development of science and technology of optical magnification of objects, encourage research on cells. Organisms whose cells have only a puzzle, can be answered properly. This discovery will encourage people to dig secrets stored in the cell.
